I'd give the latest book in this series 4.5 stars. While book 2 ended up on a non-cliffhanger, this book picks up right where book 2 left off. Jess is coming into her own as a leader, earning the respect of the elders of the rest of the clans. Well most, because if everyone just fell into line, where would the story go? I loved watching the relationship between Mikael and Jess grow, he not only loves her but respects her as well and truly completes her as a person. It was interesting learning more about the first white wolves, and actually the original wolves and the origin of the species. I'd love to learn even more about the witch siblings and the dark ones. I can't wait to see more of the new characters, especially a certain snarky male. And I hope we see more of Evan and Natalie :) There was one part of the story that failed to capture my attention 100% but that could be because I was too eager to know the answers to some other things and was getting impatient. :) This book didn't end on a cliffhanger either, but I can't wait to get my hands on the next one because there are just things I need to know!Product details

I love this series, grammar mistakes be damned. The world they live in was very well thought out, and i love all the characters, main and side. They're all fleshed out and believable. It was hard to put the books down, i read the first three in as many days. I definitely recommend this series.
I have never read any of this.authors books , or familiar with her . I certainly pleased that I found " THE ANCIENTS " . a very gripping , suspenseful , and romantic story line , when you think that you have it figured out , here goes no sleeping because you won't put it down...Can't wait for next ones .
I love series books and the white wf series is awesome. The characters are personable and fun to get to know. This series has plot twist and new characters and new species too!
I'm at the bittersweet end of the book.its bittersweet because I have to wait for the next book to find out what happens. The good news is there are spin off books to this series!
Loved the book and all the characters in it. Interesting plot. I loved the bond between Jessica and Jack. It reminded me of my own with my brothers. Loved the descriptions of the sending off ceremonies, had me very teary-eyed. All-in-all, great book and would recommend reading. Be prepared to read straight through, there is no putting it down
Once again Christine Butler has delivered! There is just as much action, drama, romance, and intrigue as the first two books. If you like any of those, then you won't want to miss Branches of the Willow. Make sure you read them in order though! They are definitely not standalones.
I am an avid reader. sometimes 3 to 5 books a week. I read everything and anything that catches my eye. This series did catch my eye and I'm glad that I purchased all 3 books. That being said I gave this 5 stars even though the grammar mistakes made reading annoying at times. The story line captured my interest and held my attention for every word. Love the White Wolf heroine and the complicated relationships. Can't wait for the next book!
It took me a while to get on team Mikael and Jess, but now I'm as in love with them as they are with each other! Wow that wolf sure knows how to take what he wants, and I also love how he respects Jess while at the same time still seems like the Alpha even though she's the white wolf. I loved loved loved that back story of the original white wolves, and how this all came about. It just made me fall in love with the series even more. Nearing the end, I am hoping and praying that this author has another one in this series up her sleeve because I'm not quite ready to be done with this series yet. I want more more more. Love, friendship, danger...what more could you ask for. #AmazingRead
